I've always said that there's no such thing as an original idea. Okay, that's not true, somebody else said that before me.
I mean, I'm drawing a tabletop webcomic. There's nothing original about it. However, the fantastic thing about games like D&D is that they work wonderfully with unoriginal ideas. Recently, I struggled with the idea of including dragons in a campaign. It just seemed like a big cliche, despite it literally being the name of the game. Turns out, cliches can be a lot of fun, as long as they aren't overdone.
