At 1st level, your average player shouldn't be rolling a 25. Valdren just happened to put all his skills in Diplomacy and Craft (weaponsmith).
You're probably wondering why you're looking at Valdren's back. Originally I wanted to draw a full view of the temple, packed with common villagers, everyone hanging on his every word. However, when I began drawing it last night, I started experiencing severe stomach distress. So... you get his back.
On the plus side, check out that sword! Pat's really proud of that piece of work. Most people don't take a lot of consideration when designing a masterwork greatsword, they just say it's shinier than your average greatsword. Nope, two dragon heads.
