Scruffy is a yellow Labrador Retriever, a very popular breed of dog up here in the frozen wastes of Canada. If I had a dog, it'd be a lab. They'd totally be there to save a little kid from monsters. And you were worried about him.
This comic caused me an undue amount of grief, mostly stemming from being a bad artist. I have a hard enough time drawing people; creatures that I see every day. A dog seemed to be beyond me, but I think I didn't do half bad.
