Every now and then as a DM, you'll notice that you're starting to lose your party. In this particular case, Tamaki is a 'kick in the door' kind of character. The rest of the party may be looking for things to do in preparation for the big fight, but Tamaki just wants to start fighting goblins.

Don't get me wrong, there's nothing the matter with non-combat adventures, nor is there anything wrong with high combat adventures. The trick here is to find balance between the two. As it was the first adventure of the campaign, I dropped the ball on this one. There's a lot of action to be had, but not until the very end of this adventure.
